Working with a Blood Supplier in Your Prehospital Blood Program

In the third installment of the EMS Focus: Prehospital Blood Transfusion in Practice webinar series, Gam Wijetunge, Director of the Office of EMS, led a panel discussion with experts on how to engage and build a relationship with a blood partner.

During the discussion, speakers examined what EMS agencies need to understand about how blood banks and blood centers function, the basics of blood handling requirements and the different blood supply models. The conversation also explored specific guidance on how to build relationships with a blood supplier for a prehospital blood transfusion program.
