Working with a Blood Supplier in Your Prehospital Blood Program

This session will address how to find the blood bank/center partner, help EMS agencies understand the different roles in banks/centers and provide advice on creating and sustaining a strong, mutually beneficial relationship with those who provide you with blood products. The basics of FDA and AABB blood-handling requirements and different models for securing blood will be covered, too, as will specific guidance on how to start off the process of finding a blood supplier on the right foot.
